Vision Boards: Fluff or The Right Stuff?
This meme has been making its way around the internet…and I laugh every time I see it.
WHY?
Because…even thought it is meant as a joke, it contains the mindset that wayyyyy too many people have.
This is one that I created a while back.
Same reason.
Heck, too many people in my own industry teach them like they are a piece of fluff on top of of a ‘wish sundae’.
Some people make Resolutions…it’s a start.
Some write down their goals with a bit of specificity…better.
My clients and I take that level, dive into the details and hammer out a vision of what those goals LOOK LIKE, tying in how each phase affects as many of our senses as possible, then create a detailed Action Plan (among other strategies) to make them happen.
Not just wishing.
Not Arts & Crafts.
If that’s where your mindset is at, that’s okay.
It’s not my job to drag you anywhere you’re not ready to go.
I’m not going to shine lasers in your eyes, fill an event centering with booming music and try to part you with your money by telling you that you NEED what I have to offer.
My approach is a bit different.
Me and my tribe are hanging out on the front porch having conversations.
If you want to hang out on the lawn, spread your blanket, listen in & learn…YOU ARE MOST WELCOME!!
Right now, many of us have time that was previously used up doing whatever we believed was most important at the time.
Maybe this time of confusion has shifted your priorities.
You may have realized that while you were ‘busy’, not all your balls were being juggled effectively.
Sometimes life has a way of nudging us that we’re not doing the most important stuff…the stuff we’ll be thinking about when we’re old and grey.
Other times it puts on a pair of steel-toe work-boots and kicks us square in the buns.
Whatever end of the pain rainbow you may be sitting on right now, there’s no leprechaun delivering you to a pot of gold.
That’s a crock.
We make our own sunshine to escape the rain, creating rainbows…or at least sunnier days.
