They started off new and a deep, rich blue.
I could have kept them cleaned, ironed and ‘perfect’ for years.
But I don’t like to play that way.
I wore them to ‘work’.
The colors faded here and there.
I fell down a lot.
They got dirty.
The first few frays led to the first rips, then the first holes.
Just kept working, kept falling down, kept getting back up.
Do I own ‘new’ jeans?
Yes I do.
But every once in a while, when I feel the need to dig deep and grind out some serious work…I put these on and smile.
Wearing them brings me joy.
In our current situation, I find myself wearing them more often.
I’ve had to go back to work to pivot and bounce my Speaking Business off the wall in a different direction to not only SURVIVE…but to THRIVE.

Already earning some new rips and tears as I fall down and pick myself up again…
Still wearing my favorite jeans.
